The Vampire Diaries Spoiler Roundup

by Deb on September 15, 2011

Welcome to the weekly The Vampire Diaries Spoiler roundup, I will be providing you with spoilers from various news sites like Watch With Kristen and Ask Ausiello and EW. You will receive all of the spoilers from the week all in one place in this weekly article. This week has something for you Tyler and Caroline fans, enjoy.

Ohemgeeitscoley: anything for Damon and Elena on #tvd?
Want the good news, all you Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) lovers? They are totally hooking up! But the bad news is…I’m a very bad person for leading you on because they are hooking up in a strictly detective-like fashion to try to find Stefan (Paul Wesley). Wah-wah. Sad clown. From what I hear, the dealio is there won’t be any hot and heavy romance stuff in the first part of the season. But guess what? It doesn’t look like Stefan even wants to be found, and that may change things. I hear Stefan will be gone for something like the first half of the season…ish.

totallychristie: Caroline and Tyler! CAROLINE AND TYLER! :D
All caps means business! Well, you saw in the promo that Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Caroline (Candice Accola) are getting down to some sexy business. So, we just had to bug Candice about it! “Caroline definitely has scenes with Tyler in the season opener,” she says coyly. “I don’t know what kind of clothing they might be wearing. She also has scenes with Matt, so we don’t know. Stayed tuned.” We tried to get her to say that Tyler and Caroline will definitely explore their chemistry this season, but this is all we got from her: “Caroline is exploring her relationships with friends, potential lovers, and family.” So, yes

Question: Do you have any idea if Katherine will be returning to Vampire Diaries? —Kris
Ausiello:
The question isn’t if Elena’s doppelganger will be back, it’s when. “We’re not going to see Katherine right away,” says VD EP Julie Plec. “But when she does show up, she’s not going to show up empty-handed. She’s going to show up with some pretty valuable information.”

Question: Desperate Vampire Diaries fan here! Can I have some “Forwood” scoop, please? —Jo
Ausiello:
Elaborating on her Comic-Con tease that Caroline and Tyler would remain in an awkward friends zone in Season 3, Plec says, “The thing about the friends zone is, when there’s that much animalistic sexual tension that exists between two people, eventually the friends zone is going to have a mattress involved. I think we can safely say that sooner or later, Caroline and Tyler aren’t going to be able to avoid the fireworks that very clearly have been simmering between them all summer long.” Nowthat is a woman who knows how to craft a good sound bite. Well done, Plec. Well. Done.

Any scoop on The Vampire Diaries‘ Tyler and Caroline? — Sarah
NATALIE: The sexual tension between this werewolf-vampire pairing is about to bubble over. “There’s a lot brewing underneath that friendship that’s been simmering all summer,” executive producer Julie Plec tells us. “[We'll see] them deal with that and then maybe act on what’s been brewing. [They're] particularly fiery.” Here’s to some hot interspecies sex!

The Vampire Diaries absolutely rocked my world last night! PLEASE, I need some Stefan/Elena scoop. That phone call! How much longer are they going to be apart?! — Erika
First, do NOT get me started on that phone call. Absolutelydevastating. Now, for the possibly upsetting news, it sounds like they might be apart for a while. Paul Wesley opened up about it all at the CW premiere party this weekend, saying “I hate to be cheesy, but on a symbolic level, he’s really apart from everybody. He’s physically apart for a while, in a different location, but he’s in a completely different space,” he says. “He and Elena were just not what they were. It could go on indefinitely, man, for sure.” But will there come a point where he forgets about Elena? “I think at a certain point, he thinks he has. Whether or not he truly has is left to be seen to me. I think he thinks he has to because he forces himself to [forget her], and circumstances force it, too. Genuinely, they force him to.”

Anything on Vampire Diaries would make my morning!! PLEASE! — Dani
Paul Wesley can’t wait for you to see an upcoming episode that “shows a side of Stefan that we haven’t seen before.” “I think it was probably the most fun I had shooting Vampire Diariesperiod, in any episode,” he said. “It’s a scene where I’m basically saying goodbye to my old self.”

Bonnie Gets A New Guy

by Angela on October 12, 2010

Nell in Massachuetts: The Vampire Diaries might be the most exciting show on TV right now. Got spoilers on what’s to come for my faves?
Sorry, Bamon shippers! (Anyone?) Looks like Bonnie (Katerina Graham) is going to be meeting a new guy. His name is Luka (awesome name), and he’s comfortable with her powers because his history professor father taught him all about the Salem witches. Oh, and he has a family secret of his own that he shares with Ms. Bonnie, maybe before she’s ready…

Source: E! Online

What possibly could his family secret be?  It could be anything, this is Mystic Falls after all.  So let’s see, we have a vampire hunter, vampires, werewolves, and a witch…could Luka and his dad add something more to list?  Do you want to see Bonnie have a relationship?

Question: I think you’ve been a little stingy with The Vampire Diaries scoop. How about some enlightenment? —Robin Ausiello: How about some casting scoop? She Spies alum (and season 7 American Idol almost-finalist) Natashia Williams has landed the role of Lucy, a mysterious hipster who possesses a fun swagger. How’s that for a vague spoiler?

Shane in Pittsburgh, Pa.: Will Jenna finally find out the truth about vampires on The Vampire Diaries?
Nope, you can expect Aunt Jenna to remain blissfully unaware of the supernatural happenings in Mystic Falls, at least for now. How can that be when she was in the house while Katherine was chopping off Uncle John’s fingers and Jeremy was upstairs downing blood and pills? Executive producer Julie Plec tells us, “We’ll learn in the first episode that she was actually out talking to the fire marshal. Katherine actually lured Jenna out of the house before all the craziness happened.” Finger slicing aside, that Katherine seems like a fine young lady, no?

Beth in Phoenix, Ariz.: Got any scoop on TVD’s flashback episodes?
We have three tidbits about the three, possibly four, planned walks down the Salvatore brothers’ memory lane:

  • We chatted with Bianca Lawson, a.k.a. the original Bennett witch, who spilled that “Emily Bennett’s coming back to maybe be a good witch, maybe be bad witch.” Maybe we’ll finally see her make the deal with the devil himself, Damon, which sealed the vamps in the tomb?
  • When we spoke with Kevin Williamson at Comic-Con he confirmed that we will be seeing some of season one’s dearly departed via flashbacks. Our fingers are crossed for the return of fan favorite Anna.
  • Expect to learn about a lot more about the infamous Katherine. Williamson teased, “Why wasn’t she in the tomb? How did she escape? Where did she go? Why did she come to Mystic Falls to begin with? What brought her to Mystic Falls? There’s all those fun questions that we’re gonna explore.”

What’s next for Elena and Damon?

by Angela on February 3, 2010

Question: Any Vampire Diaries scoop? I really loved the Damon and Elena interaction we got. Will we get more? —Jezz
Ausiello: Indeed you will. “Damon is obsessed with Elena’s doppelganger, and if one day Elena’s doppelganger is not in the picture, it’s an immediate transference,” explains exec producer Julie Plec. “We’ll see him have an evolution of feelings for her. And, over time, we’ll see her wonder if there’s something redeemable about this guy.”

Spoilers: What’s next for Vampire Diairies?

by Angela on November 17, 2009

Lia H. in Los Angeles: Damon gives such good crying face! Are you watching Vampire Diaries? I’m such a sucker for this show.
Last week’s ep sucked me in, too! I’m hearing that Elena and Damon are going on a road trip pretty soon, so it doesn’t look like he really ran away for good. I know. Shocker! So maybe he’ll leave the car window down so you can see those sexy tears again. Meanwhile, for you who want to get on board, the CW just announced a Vampire Diaries marathon beginning Dec. 14.

Dani in Sacramento, Calif.: Any scoop on The Vampire Diaries? It’s my new addiction!
Brace yourselves for another flashback, because in episode 12, we’re going to meet Damon and Stefan’s father, Giuseppe! Who else is superexcited by this? Giuseppe is described as a handsome, no-nonsense businessman of Italian heritage who in his mid-40s, “with a stern demeanor that hides a fierce devotion to his family and growing fears for their future.” Got any dream casting? For some reason all we can think of right now is Joey Tribbiani. Give us someone better!

Rebecca in Upland, Calif.: Anything else on Vampire Diaries?
Kevin Williamson tells us that the new history teacher, Matt Davis, is in town because he has “a bit of a secret agenda,” and Matt and Caroline’s relationship continues to grow. “We’ll also get to learn more about the town. We will stay focused on our leads and our central epic love story,” says Kevin. “But the show does expand.”
