Sheriff Forbes

Previously on the Vampire Diaries, the sacrifice ritual was completed, Jenna was turned into a vampire and was sacrificed by Klaus, Bonnie did a spell to keep Elena human by switching souls with Uncle John, Uncle John sacrificed himself to keep Elena human, Elijah went back on his word and didn’t kill Klaus.

Tonight’s season finale, As I Lay Dying is about Damon’s battle with the werewolf bite.

Damon’s Apology:
Damon knows he’s dying and he doesn’t have much time left. There is one thing he needs before he dies and that is Elena’s forgiveness. He comes to Elena’s house to apologize and ask her for forgiveness but Elena tells him she needs more time. Little did Elena know, Damon doesn’t have that much time left.

Drama-Free Day:
Elena’s idea of having a normal day without any drama is watching the Gone With The Wind in the middle of town square with her friends and the rest of the town. Here’s a tip, Elena, if you want something drama-free, you watch a comedy; not Gone With The Wind.

Damon’s Suicide Attempt:
Damon knows he’s going to die, so he decides to shorten the process. He takes off his ring and stands in the sunlight. His skin starts burning before Stefan pushes him away from the sunlight. Stefan puts him in the basement and promises his brother that he would find a cure.

Finding a Cure:
Stefan asks Bonnie to help him find a cure, maybe a spell that can help cure Damon. Bonnie tries to find it by channeling the dead witches. Emily possess Bonnie’s body and tells Stefan that she can’t help him because there needs to be a balance in nature. Before Emily leaves, she says a name that Bonnie hears.

Klaus.

Klaus is a key to finding a cure. Stefan goes on a mission to find Klaus, but before he does, he tells Elena about Damon.

Elijah’s Demise:
Elijah trusted his brother in the previous episode. He believed Klaus when Klaus told him that his family is still alive and that he will take Elijah to see them. Klaus is too much like Katherine. He’s manipulative and cannot be trusted. Elijah’s biggest mistake was that he trusted Klaus. Now that Klaus completed his transformation, he turns right around and stick the dagger through Elijah’s heart.

The Cure:
Klaus propose a deal to Stefan. If he gives Stefan the cure to save Damon, Stefan will have to join him for a decade of servitude. Klaus wants an another throat ripper on his team.

Stefan tells Klaus that he hasn’t been this way in a very long time. The guy survive n Bunny’s blood for crying out loud. If Stefan does this, it’s going to be really hard for him to get out of this relapse.

Klaus then show Stefan the cure. He bites Katherine and then feeds her his blood, completely healing her wound. The cure is Klaus’ blood. Since he’s the hybrid, only his blood can cure a werewolf bite on a vampire.

Sheriff Forbes’ Hunt:
Sheriff Forbes decide to hunt down on Damon tonight. She picks a bad night for vampire hunting, especially when that said vampire is sick with a werewolf disease. Sheriff Forbes comes to the Salvatore house to kill Damon but Damon gets away from her.

When Jeremy, Bonnie, and Caroline finds out about it, they take on a mission to find Damon. Jeremy finds Damon and takes him inside the Grill. Sheriff Forbes is waiting for them inside and fires a bullet at Damon but Damon moves too fast. Bullet hits Jeremy in the center of is chest.

Jeremy:
Jeremy starts off this season, being killed by Damon and brought back to life by the Gilbert Ring. Now that we’re at the season finale, he gets killed by Sheriff Forbes. Seriously, this kid has all the bad lucks in the world.

Caroline tries to feed her blood to Jeremy but it was too late. Bonnie brings Jeremy back to the Witches’ Burial Ground with the help of Alaric. Bonnie tries to channel the dead witches to save Jeremy but the witches are angry at her for misusing her powers. At the end, she begs Emily to help her, telling Emily that she loves Jeremy. That has got to be the magic word because Jeremy wakes up from the dead.

Stefan’s Deal with Klaus:
Klaus puts his blood in a bottle and tries to make a deal with Stefan. Before he gives his blood to Stefan, he makes Stefan drinks bags and bags of human blood until Stefan gets crazed with thirst. This just shows how much Stefan loves his brother. He would do anything for Damon even if it means that he has to give up living his life with Elena.

Klaus gives the bottle of his blood to Katherine and tells her she can leave. Katherine doesn’t need to be told twice before fleeing the place. Stefan doesn’t think that Katherine will give Damon the cure. I have a feeling she will. After all, she does owe Damon for the vervain.

The last thing Klaus wants from Damon before they leave town is to feed on a human girl. Stefan completely falls into it by feeding on a human girl.

Elena and Damon:
After finding Damon, Elena brings him back to the Salvatore house to take care of him. She lays with him on his bed as he’s dying. Damon apologizes again and Elena tells him that she forgives him. This is a really sweet moment between them and it is heartbreaking to watch how Damon really wants her to know that he loves her. Elena kisses him and I’m not even mad at her for doing it. And of course, that’s when Katherine shows up and gives Damon the cure. Katherine left but not before telling Elena and Damon about Stefan’s sacrifice.

The Ending:
I’m really confused about the ending. Why is Vicky and Anna back? How are they alive? Is Jeremy dreaming? Is he turning into that little boy from the sixth sense and seeing dead people? What is going on?

There are so many things I need to know. What is going to happen to Elena and Stefan’s relationship? They’d have to break up now that Stefan left town. Is Elena going to start falling in love with Damon?

How am I going to survive three months without a new episode? It’s going to be a really long summer. Until next season!

Let’s Forget About It: Caroline and Liz

by Cathy on October 28, 2010

One of the best scenes from last week episode, Plan B, was when Caroline was compelling her mother at the Salvatore house. Caroline and Liz have never had a good relationship. Liz is always busy with her work, trying to hunt down vampires. In return, Caroline feels ignored. She feels like her mother doesn’t care about her. Their relationship has always been rocky but Caroline and Liz had a chance to bond in last week episode. At least for a little while. I was hoping that Liz didn’t have to be compelled after the conversation she had with Caroline. But, if we learned anything from this show, it’s the fact that you can’t trust anyone. Caroline erased Liz’s memories and made her forget about everything that happened in the last few days, including the quality time they shared together that afternoon. A lot of people are questioning why Caroline said, “and your selfish little daughter went back to ignoring you,” while she was compelling her mother. I was asking the same question when I was watching the episode. Caroline could have just taken away the vampire related memories from Liz and they can go on to have a better relationship. After watching the episode for the second time, I understood why Caroline did what she did.

Mother Knows Best:
If Caroline and Liz went on to having a closer relationship, there is no way Caroline can keep her secret from Liz. After all, Liz is a vampire hunter. If they spend more time together, Liz would find out what her daughter really is. Mothers always know what their children are up to. What’s going to happen when Liz finds out again that Caroline is a vampire? Is Caroline going to have to compel her mother again? How many times is she going to have to do that? This isn’t an ideal situation.

It’s a Threat to Liz’s Life:
There is a crazy, psychopath vampire named Katherine, who loves threatening people to get what she wants.  If Caroline becomes close to her mother, Liz would be added to Katherine’s list of people she can threaten. If Caroline ignores her mother, she wouldn’t be seen as an important person in Caroline’s life.

So yes, it was necessary for the relationship between Caroline and her mother to go back to the way it was. It’s a small sacrifice for the greater good. Caroline did what she did to protect her mother. At least now, Liz will know that her daughter loves her, no matter what.

1. Caroline’s character definitely got a jolt. In season one, Caroline was an afterthought, nothing really going on there. There were times when fans even wondered why Caroline was apart of the story at all. People watched as her relationship blossomed with Matt and while it was great, we never really understood why this was a focus on the show. But in one episode, everything just fell into place. Those meaningless storylines were meaningless no more. There was a power jolt of interest placed back into Caroline Forbes and new conversations have been sparked. What kind of vampire will she be? Will something happen between Caroline and Stefan? What will her mom do when she finds out? Most importantly, will Caroline survive in the world of vampires?

2. Matt Donovan can finally get a clue about vampires. Matt has been greatly affected by the whole vampire thing, but he has no clue. First he loses Elena to Stefan, then his sister is turned by Damon and now his girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend) is a victim of Katherine’s games. The poor guy can’t catch a break and he really doesn’t understand what is happening to him. Caroline’s new life can be a way to introduce Matt to all the supernatural things going on around him. After all, he really doesn’t understand Bonnie’s powers either. Just telling Matt wouldn’t be any fun, but finding out these things and really understanding them would be great. In the books, Matt helped Elena with feeding, so maybe Matt can do the same type of thing here with Caroline. This would also be a great way to forge a friendship between Stefan and Matt. Their friendship was important in the books and would add something extra to the show. The Salvatore brothers need allies anyway they can them and Matt could definitely help out.

3. Caroline will grant an education to her mother. Sheriff Forbes is the vampire hunter of the town, so what will happen when she finds out her daughter is a vampire? That is something that can be answered right now, but maybe Caroline can answer some other questions for her mom. The Council has been completely uneducated about vampires. Everything they think they know is wrong and it’s leading them no where. Damon has tried to position himself on the council which has probably been the most beneficial in their battle against the vampires. Caroline can show her mother there are good vampires and not all seek to harm. Plus, she can help Mystic Falls fight against those bad forces they don’t want. This could be a win/win situation for all. The most important thing here is communication.

4. Caroline can pull on Bonnie’s heartstrings. Bonnie has been something special this season. She’s been angry and hasn’t taken responsibility for anything that has happened. Caroline is her best friend so maybe Caroline can help melt some of that anger away so Bonnie can focus her power on good and not evil. Most of the times when we see Bonnie, she’s using that power for evil (aka burning Damon). If Caroline can prove she’s not going to cause harm, there’s a chance that Bonnie will take it easy and help instead of hurt.

5. Stefan and Damon need a vampire ally. Katherine is mean bitch and to get rid of her they are going to need every friend they can get. Alaric is great, even with his magic ring, but he’s no vampire. Caroline is someone they can use down the line to defeat Katherine. Yes, she will need some training and focus, but she could be of great use to the Salvatore brothers. We have never really seen them work with other vampires before so this would be a nice chance. At the end of the day, they should be able to trust Caroline and trust will take them a long way. Caroline has already said many times she doesn’t want to “die”. Hidden in that subtext means she’s ready to fight. Caroline is emotional and she’ll probably be able to harness that into something that will help out.

Spoilers are bad, why do we keep reading them? Spoiler Guide gave us a hint at which female will be turned in season 2. They know who it is, but mum is the word…they aren’t telling.

Our source tells us (confirmed to us by official sources), that Katherine ~Nina Dobrev confronts the character.

The character in question is female and she’s a new vampire! There will be a violent, vicious fight(Vamp v/s Vamp) between her and Katherine. Well, now that definitely narrows it down for you.

Who do you think is going to turn this season of The Vampire Diaries?
