● Best Moments of the epsidoe for: Alaric punched John, Damon at the witch house
● Is Jenna handling the situation wrong? Wouldn’t you want to know what was going on?

Bonnie Plays The Martyr:
- Bonnie as the secret weapon? Are they putting too much in Bonnie’s hands? Does Jeremy spend too much time worrying about Bonnie? Is he not worrying about the fate of Elena and everything else?
- Why is it ok for Bonnie to die, but not Elena? Why is she playing to martyr right now?

Isobel Changes Everything
- Was John foolish to trust Isobel? Is Isobel trustable? Did Isobel play on John’s weaknesses? Do you think there was a part of Elena that wanted to trust Isobel?
- Does it make what Isobel did better because we find out that she was compelled?
- Elena and John: Will they have a normal relationship? Can he actually help?

Expecting Klaus to show up at the dance, Damon and Alaric attend as chaperones, but Klaus is playing a complicated game that keeps them on edge. Finally, Damon comes up with a new plan of action that shocks and upsets everyone.

What did you think of the flashback sequence? Did we learn anything new about him?
Why didn’t Stefan tell Elena his story involving her family?

Bonnie Loses Her Powers

How long do you think she will be without her powers? Wasn’t Bonnie supposed to be this all-powerful witch because she’s a Bennett?
What did Bonnie do that was so wrong? Did she deserve to have this happen to her?

Uncle John is Up To No Good:

Why did Elijah have to be killed that night? Shouldn’t they have found out more information before they actually attempted? If Elena hadn’t sat down and read the journals, things could have ended much differently?
