And The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season was released on Blu-ray™ and DVD on August 31. The Vampire Diaries’ first season premiere generated the largest audience in network history for a series debut with 5.7 million total viewers, and is The CW’s most-watched show. Based on the best-selling series of books by L.J. Smith, the show stars Nina Dobrev (“DeGrassi: The Next Generation”), Paul Wesley (“Fallen”) and Ian Somerhalder (“Lost”), Steven R.
