The End of Bite On This Podcast – Updated

by Angela on January 3, 2012

With a heavy heart I write this to all the Bite On This fans, but the podcast has come to an end. I started podcasting four and half years ago and my life was very different from where it is now. I, Angela, sadly don’t have the love and passion for podcasting that I once did. While I love Vampire Diaries (ONE OF THE BEST WRITTEN SHOW ON TELEVISION!) my desire to podcast just isn’t there.

The podcast has always been a labor of love for me, but lately it’s just been labor. It has stopped being fun for me and I over the break I have come to realize I just want to watch TVD and just enjoy it and move on. Not take tedious notes, not maintain a site, not coming up with an outline and not podcasting about it. BOT has been great and we’ve had plenty of great moments, that is why this decision is so hard. This is not something I came to on my own or without great thought, but it’s for the best.

I want to thank my husband Willie and good friend Marcy for taking the journey with me, but we all kind of agree that it’s time to move on…and just enjoy the show without podcasting.

I know this is going to upset a lot of you but I think you would rather us leave now instead of podcasting without heart for the rest of the season. It would be a waste of your time and ours too. I really appreciate the time each podcast fan has taken to download the episode and talk back. I have truly met some great people through the TVD community.

And although we won’t be a part of the community anymore, there are still great people out there doing great things…and you should support them. Fansiting/podcasting/twittering isn’t an easy job and people sacrifice parts of their lives to bring you great content. Don’t take that for granted.

So to the 8,000 people who consistently downloaded our podcast, made us an iTunes success, and became our TVD family…THANK YOU for being great and supporting us. We couldn’t have done this without you.

Most importantly, we appreciate you!

Sincerely,
Angela, Marcy and Willie

BIRTHDAYS AND GOOD-BYES — Although Caroline (Candice Accola) is in no mood to celebrate her 18th birthday, Elena (Nina Dobrev), Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Matt (Zach Roerig) surprise her with a small party in an unusual location. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) disagree on the best way to handle Klaus (Joseph Morgan), and a reckless Stefan decides to test his theory by taking things to dangerous extremes. Bonnie is concerned when Elena tells her about Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) new plans. At a Founder’s meeting, Alaric once again runs into Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto), who is in the middle of an argument with her ex-boyfriend, the medical examiner (guest star David Colin Smith). Tyler (Michael Trevino) refuses to go along with Klaus’ latest demand, and is surprised when Klaus seems to accept his decision. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Rebecca Sonnenshine (#311).

A REASON TO FEEL GUILTY — Stefan (Paul Wesley) has hidden the coffins containing the bodies of Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) family, and Klaus quickly turns to violence to convince Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) that no one will be safe until he finds Stefan and gets his family back. Tyler (Michael Trevino) continues to make the most of his new abilities as a hybrid, but he has to face the disturbing consequences of his actions as well. After a terrifying incident, Elena and Alaric (Matt Davis) grow increasingly concerned about Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) attitude and, ultimately, his safety. Alaric meets the beautiful Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto, “Pretty Little Liars”), who is intrigued with his amazing ability to heal. While trying to strike a deal with Klaus, Elena delivers news that truly shocks him. Kat Graham also stars and internet personality Justine Ezarik guest stars as a bartender. John Behring directed the episode written by Michael Narducci (#310).
