We’re back to talk about the last episodes of the Vampire Diaries season 2. No Marcy this week, because we were all really busy this weekend. And I didn’t want to go without a show since we’ve been off for so long.

General Comments:
● Best Moments of the epsidoe for: Alaric punched John, Damon at the witch house
● Is Jenna handling the situation wrong? Wouldn’t you want to know what was going on?

Bonnie Plays The Martyr:
- Bonnie as the secret weapon? Are they putting too much in Bonnie’s hands? Does Jeremy spend too much time worrying about Bonnie? Is he not worrying about the fate of Elena and everything else?
- Why is it ok for Bonnie to die, but not Elena? Why is she playing to martyr right now?

Isobel Changes Everything
- Was John foolish to trust Isobel? Is Isobel trustable? Did Isobel play on John’s weaknesses? Do you think there was a part of Elena that wanted to trust Isobel?
- Does it make what Isobel did better because we find out that she was compelled?
- Elena and John: Will they have a normal relationship? Can he actually help?

Is that the moonstone or soap?:
- Should Damon have kept the moonstone in the soap dish?
- Our moonstone story.
- Should Damon have moved it because he knew Katherine was asking for it?

Matt Is Out of Control:
- Do you think they tried to combat the Matt situation the best they could?
- Does Matt really want to know the real Caroline? Is it possible that Sheriff Forbes still remembers what happened?
- Will Matt be able to accept the real Caroline? Is Caroline in possible danger?

When It’s All Said And Done
- Why did they allow Elena to go? Was that a smart move? What do you think of the Salvatore brothers giving Elena the house? Do you think that will work? What about the rest of her family?
- What do you think of Klaus possessing Alaric’s body? Is this a permanent change or will he be able to go back to normal?

Closing:
● Next week we’ll be back to talk about 2.17 – The Last Dance.
● DANCING WITH DANGER — As the high school prepares to throw a “1960s Decade Dance,” Elena starts receiving disturbing messages from Klaus via an unusual source. Bonnie tries to reassure Jeremy that she is strong enough to help Elena, but a worried Jeremy asks Stefan for advice. Caroline talks Matt into taking her to the dance. Expecting Klaus to show up at the dance, Damon and Alaric attend as chaperones, but Klaus is playing a complicated game that keeps them on edge. Finally, Damon comes up with a new plan of action that shocks and upsets everyone.

I don’t really care about Bonnie, but the way Stefan was acting about it makes me wonder if he would try and sacrifice her for Elena.

The difference between Bonnie being willing to sacrifice herself and Elena being willing to sacrifice herself is that Bonnie sacrificing herself would save everybody. Elena sacrificing herself would save absolutely no one. Klaus would still need a vampire, a werewolf, and witch to break the sun-moon curse, most likely Caroline, Tyler, and Bonnie. Let’s say Elena did/does sacrifice herself by giving herself to Klaus, do you think he’s going to content with just killing her? No, his main goal is breaking the moonstone curse, Elena is not enough to break it. Plus even if he did manage to find a vampire, a werewolf, and a witch before getting Elena, he’d still be roaming around killing people. Bonnie has the knowledge on how to kill Klaus, she has the power to kill Klaus, and she knows that using that power will probably end up killing her, but she’s willing to do it anyway. She’s willing to die at the mere age of 17, inorder to ensure the safety of not only the one’s she loves, but the whole town of unsuspecting, innocent people. Elena’s plan to sacrifice herself wouldn’t ensure any of that.

I think Jeremy does care about Elena, but I think he realizes that Elena is taken care of. She has plenty of people worried about her and her safety, while Bonnie does not, she honestly at this time only has Jeremy. Instead she has the likes of Stefan and Damon referring to her as an object (secret weapon) without really wondering, “oh hey, how will this affect Bonnie?” instead she’s “locked and loaded.”
